COMPLEX Muaro Jambi enshrinement in which stored more than 80 temple ruins and remains of ancient settlements in the range of IX-XV century AD. Although not as popular as the other temples in Java, which is believed to archaeological sites as well as one center for the development of Buddhism in the heyday of the kingdom of Srivijaya was an asset that can be utilized in the fields of science, culture, tourism, social, religious, and economic.






Archaeological sites, stretching from west to east along the banks of Sungai Batang 7.5 kilometer.Kompleks enshrinement can be reached by land and river to the distance from the city of Edinburgh as far as 30 Km. Of the approximately 80 known ruins of the temple, the local people called menapo, only a small portion that has been restored. Based on the remnants of the existing ruins, a building using a red stone.




The temples that have been built and can be visited by tourists is Vando Astano Candi, Candi Gumpung, High Temple, Temple of the Twin Stone, Candi Gedong 1, Candi Gedong 2, and Talaga Rajo pool. There is also a canal-old canal that surrounds the enshrinement of this complex. Its location in the village spread Muaro Jambi, Kemingking In, and Lake Lamo.

Jambi provincial government has developed a master plan for development of the site of the temple following Muaro Jambi and Engineering Design (DED) detail to determine the restoration of the site development of approximately 12 trillion.
